Italian Coffee Machines - Killer Espresso
Posted by: Admin on Saturday, January 28, 2006 - 10:21 AM
Cookies in the News It has come to the attention of SaveTheCookies.com that there is a new website for the promotion of Italian Coffee Machines, mainly for making espresso or capucino. It has been well known that for many years "hot coffee" has been an enemy of cookies all over the world. Hot coffee cups and tea cups have been the "dunking place" of horror for many innocent cookies and biscuits. We urge you to visit this Italian Coffee Machine website and read about the history and legends that Italian Coffee Machines are made of...let them know that we as cookie lovers are offended by their site and who they represent!

Christmas Cookies for the Family
Posted by: Admin on Monday, December 12, 2005 - 03:29 PM
Cookies in the News Christmas time is near and each and every year we need to find our cookie cutters for making those unique shaped cookies for our family and friends.
I myself have cookie cutters that have been passed down through 4 generations... These precious cookie cutters came from the County Cork in Ireland in 1878 and arrived on a boat landing on Ferris Island in New York.

A complete bakers dozen, these thirteen cookie cutters have become a family heirloom as far as we are concerned... the magic that they make during the holidays keeps memories alive and thoughts of our loved ones.

I remember as a child with my mother cutting out the sheets of dough, sprinkling colored sugar and adding silver balls and other cookie toppings.
I even remeber the little red hot balls my Dad use to love so much... Mom had a hard time keeping his fingers away from them!

The thirteen shapes include two stars, 1 crescent moon, 1 Santa Claus, 1 Rheindeer, 2 Bells, 1 Star of David, 1 Candle, 1 Cross, 1 Christamas Tree, 1 Candy Cane, and one bell.

Share the fun of Christmas time with your family and bake Christmas Cookies.... Its fun and delicious!

Cookie Gifts Arrive in the UK!
Posted by: Kimberly on Monday, August 15, 2005 - 09:12 AM
Cookies in the News In a land formerly devoted to the crunchy biscuit, cookies have been quietly sneaking up on their domination. The freshly-baked cookie market has been growing by 8% in a year in the UK, and is one of the fastest-growing snack markets. The UK is also host to the 2nd largest cookie chain in the world, Millie's Cookies, behind only their American rival Mrs. Fields.

Surprisingly given the British love of cookies, freshly baked gifts of cookie baskets and cookie bouquets are just now arriving in the UK. CookieFresh is the first provider of such gifts in the UK. Based in London, CookieFresh operates through a website http://www.cookiefresh.com and offers next day delivery in the UK. Though their cookies remain resolutely American in recipe and imported ingredients, they are trying to capture the British spirit by offering cookie hampers as well.

CookieFresh chose www.SavetheCookies.com as the site for their very first press release.
